    Default 25 to add mods?

friend of mine has just rought a celica 52 plate in black with leater seats ealy nice car but it dont have the spoiler on the back , so he rang his insurance up to ask them how much extra his insurance would be if he fitted a celica spoiler , and they said you have to be 25 for insurance to add to your car, thing is tho what if he brought a celica with a spoiler on what difference does it make, if you know what i mean

£25 is probably paperwork... I got my HID's noted for free (only cos I mentioned certain other insurers don't charge, and if they were going to then to cancel my policy!)

I think he means you need to be aged 25, not 25 quid?

I think if it comes standard or was added option when new it should make no differance. Example, when I brought my cupra it had steelies on as the owner put aftermarket alloys on and kept them. I was only 18 and insurance wanted £225 extra for non standard alloys. So I hunted down some original 16inch cupra alloys and no extra cost to ins.

Its like the sri has lower suspension standard. But put sri springs on say a exclusive its modified so ins might go up.
Thats my view on it anyway. You could argue it was standard if the option was there when new.
