    has anyone brought one of these for their car ?

    im thinking about getting one as they are just over £100 cheaper then a steinbauer box

    there on LMF for £397

    That is remap money,can your car be remapped ?
    Would be better to get a full remap,rather than just strain the fuel pump on its own,the dti fuel pumps are made of chocolate when standard as it is.

    im all for tuning boxes,but there ment to be a cheap option,you can get a remap cheaper than that,cant think why any one would pay that much money for a box

    tuning box=tells the ecu the pressure is lower than need ie pumps more fuel then it also requires more air = more power

    remap=loads a new map to your ecu with adjusted vales which is the proper way to do it and changes everything to suit

    not slating a box as have never had one,but i know if i was paying that much it would be a remap

    i have just sold my dti i had a tuning box it was amazing and as for the fuel pump i think its a myth am shore john robertson will vouch i woul defo buy a steinemburg box though

    I had a vectra b 2.2 dti with a tuning box on it for 3 years and 40k miles and it was fine,but there does seem to be a problem with the vp44 fuel pumps just giving up.
    I think its to do with the fuel vacuum problem and running the pump dry trying to start the car that wears them out.

    the pumps are fine its the ecu that gives the trouble as i found out
    these cant be remaped i had a tunit uk box fitted to 1 of my 2.2 dti,s with great results
