Well, against much objection, my local town has just succumbed to Tesco and although they do not (or did not) have permission to open a fuel stop, they did regardless.
The other 2 stations in town are owned by the same person now so prices were matched in the region of £1.379 for diesel. Tesco advertised £1.319 which was 1p cheaper than Morrisons (15 miles away). So Morrisons have now dropped to £1.309 -

Let the fuel wars begin!
And to top it off, ASDA is starting to build soon, would laugh if they started a 3 way war and brought fuel down to 79.9p!

(yes, unlikely but we can hope!)
