    Default Feul Prices - LOL!!!

Well, against much objection, my local town has just succumbed to Tesco and although they do not (or did not) have permission to open a fuel stop, they did regardless.

The other 2 stations in town are owned by the same person now so prices were matched in the region of £1.379 for diesel. Tesco advertised £1.319 which was 1p cheaper than Morrisons (15 miles away). So Morrisons have now dropped to £1.309 - Let the fuel wars begin!

And to top it off, ASDA is starting to build soon, would laugh if they started a 3 way war and brought fuel down to 79.9p! (yes, unlikely but we can hope!)

Prices are typically lower in an area around Asda.

Must admit, Asda do liek to start price wars on things like fuel. They are consistently the cheapest by me, and have started many price wars previously!

What is asda diesel costing ATM? All Tesco's and Morrisons round here just seem to price against each other and the small local places are a lot more. Although 6p per litre more in a 65 litre tank would mean a £3.90 difference in a full tank.

Think i paid 128.9 last time i filled up.

Most of hem by me are around the same price, Shell, BP, Texaco and Asda are all within 1p of each other generally.

Know that in other places there can be a silly gap in only a few miles.

yes very unlikely, I live near to ASDA, MORRSONS, a new SAINSBURYS, AND TESCO, they all keep their prices about the same, the good thing is also in the middle of this lot is an ESSO station and they always match supermarket prices, toped up to-day but did not look how much the price was, but 18.18 ltrs (4 gall) was under 23 quid, so aprox 124.9 per ltr.

have no idea why, as it should be much the same stuff, but my car doesn't run quite as well on the supermarket fuels. i just avoid it and use esso all the time now, and it's sweet as a nut
then again, tesco have a bad reputation for getting contaminated fuel.
