Took my veccy 150 in for a "major" service today at 8.30,and,after booking it in etc,etc,left at around 9'ish,with the car still parked in the car park.About 11 o'clock,I got a call from them telling me that my car was ready.Crickey,(or word's to that effect),that's quick for a full service I thought!!,.....(you know what's coming,don't you?),yep,your right,charged me nearly £200 and only changed the oil and filter.No fuel filter,no brake fluid,no lube on the door slides/locks/bonnet etc,etc,No pad/disc wear report,and to cap it all off,they charged me £6 for a washer refill and the bottle was empty!!!.I had asked them for a couple of queries which they didn't do,so I had to wait for the "technician" to finish his break to do them,then,when I eventually got hold of the safety check sheet,it was a photo-copy of a blank one with everything ticked off with a blue pen!!,(how he'd managed to do the tread depth on each tyre from the other end of the car park is beyond me).
Of course,I didn't actually check anything until I had arrived home and went through everything,and that's when the fight started.Talk about "please don't p**s up my leg then tell me it's raining" crap,I went ballistic,absolutely and uterly mental,threatened them with the dreaded trading standards, everything!.
Eventually,the service manager agrees that there has been a "serious error of judgement"by their staff,and kindly made arrangements to re-service the car first thing Thursday morning.
I can't wait for Thursday,I'm wondering what sort of reception I'll get.There's one thing for sure though,I"m betting with the wife that they give the car a full valet a wash and polish..................Watch this space. FELIXX.: target:
