Is something bad about to happen?

I've noticed over the last few days a strange vibrating notion coming from somewhere. I was in an underground car park with the window down when i first noticed it. It was a slight rattle coming from somewhere. The vibration isn't coming through the steering wheel but it appears to be more obvious on the pedals. I have also occasionally heard a clank when releasing the clutch pedal in neutral.

Is it the dreaded DMF on the way out? There doesn't appear to be any slip on the clutch but i had a problem in the snow where the pedal got stuck half-way down (maybe the spring)

Now it's starting to rattle badly when bringing up the clutch. Help please.

On looking at your profile what engine?

Sounds like it may be the through out bearing. I'm presuming you don't have a 1.9 CDTI bearing in mind.

I'm a 1.9 CDTI 8v. I'm getting it looked at on wed my a friends friend (ex vaux mechanic) but just thought someone on here might be able to save us some time.

Sorry, if you have a DMF= manual geabox, haven't had one of them in years. Had a look as a friend had a similar probleeem (vibration) eventually traced it to mobile phone in back pocket - odd place to keep a phone. Hope you get it sorted.
