Default mil control circuit malfunction code PO650 ( no dash warning light on car)

Guys it seems my car has had the mil control light on the dash removed from the car somehow to mask up the egr fault on the car before i bought it This would explain why i didnt find out the egr system was removed from the car till i did a obd2 check which revealed it!
Wondered if anyone knew how the dash warning light was killed off???
I have been advised that the bulb is hardwired in so cannot be removed! Is this right??? I wondered if it could be removed via programing somehow as i know the car was mapped sometime in the past but have no history of how!
    Cheers rich

As per my PM, I beliebe this has been disabled - either physically or via the OBD port. The reason is to hide the fact that the EGR system has been physically removed from the car.

The long in short of it m8 - He took the bulb out of the EML symbol hence it's not being disaplayed but there is an EGR valve related fault code stored.

Nice one gazza, only posted this after pm to find out if theres a particular method goin around to disable it! Didnt want to remove the clocks to check for a removed bulb if there isnt a bulb there to remove. After hearing that the bulb might not be removable i thought it would be worth finding out if this was true before pulling the dash apart ..
the code does say " damaged circuit so i wondered if there was a way of shorting it from somewere on the loom or something!
Cheers for all the help on this gazza, most helpfull indeed..

Probably just cut the track or cut the wire at the back of dash.
