    Default LED sidelights

    any one managed to get LED sidelights working, ive fitted a resistor but still get the strobing after the lights are turned off.

    ive heard they can be hard wired, but how ?

    It would be much easier to just buy the mtec 501's if you don't want the strobing.

    ive got them fitted mate , still very blue not pure white, like leds

    they look even more blue with the low beam off

    Even with the resistor you get strobing so Iv read, it only stops bulb warning?

    Hard wired to something like the dash lighs or something. leemarksmith has a thread somewhere i think, link is on his profile

    But all you need is a bit of speaker wire and 2 x 501 bulb holders - feed from the dash illumination and jobs done

    thanks mate , (feed from the dash illumination) how would i do this ? ive got the bulb holders , sorry if im being a bit thick

    Get the power from ANY grey/yellow wire from behind the dash...

    If you remove the rear ashtray you may have some wires in the to take the power feed from, if not the cig lighter bulb is another. Or any from behind the dash practically...

    can any wires be located under the bonnet ? not sure how i can run wires from the dash to the lights

    Is it possible to just make the sidelights be on all the time when the ignition is turned on sort of volvo / DLR style that way they wont strobe when driving.

    You can run the wires from behind the glove box, through the rubber grommet and it comes out between the wing and battery box...

    As for ignition, just use any black feed... So ignition live from cig lighter or similar but same principle...

    Yellow/grey - comes on with standard light switch.
    Black - will come on with ignition then.

    I finally went with the yellow/grey as i always put lights on anyway and you get the sidelights on with key fob lock/unlock then
