    Default HID's fitted with pictures

    Car: Facelift Vectra SRI
    HIDS: Hids-Direct 50w 6000k kit
Sides: Generic 501s that seem to have a purply blue around them.

Fitted today without removing the bumper, procedure is fairly straightforward and got to use one of my christmas presents, a tool kit !

Airbox was fiddly to remove as there isn't much room but came out pretty easy, as did the piping around it, i took it off all the way to the intake.

Bottle neck is easy to remove again, just prise the top off and the give it a tug.

    WARNING

I bought the error free 501's off HIDS direct and they did not fit. The circuit boards they are mounted on are too thick for the Vectra, i tried them in the rear number plate holders too and it was the same story. Luckily i had some spare ones that'll do the job.

    Thanks

Yeah you could tell the difference big time and the cut off point was nice and neat too thanks to the projector lenses.

Really pee'd off about the sidelights though, the ones i have are a bit dull but at least are a colour match.

    Hopefully can return them

Just stuffed them in the recesses either side, once the airbox and bottle neck are out its quite easy to see where i mean despite my rubbish description!

Would have got silvertechs in advance if i knew it was as much work as it was (fairly straightforward but cant be bothered to do it again!)

Will definitely for the rear though as they spoil the tinted lens.

just hope the kit lasts now!

As others have said, under the headlights - there is a dedicated recess for them.

Looks good matey - you'll really notice the difference in the dark!
agree with the comment about Silvertech indicator bulbs though.

HID's Direct are not the be-all and end-all of HID kit suppliers. I had pretty poor service, and will not go back to them again.
