Finally got my vectra 2.0t!! woohoo

hi guys,
Am now the proud owner of a 2004 vectra 2.0t sri! Im over the moon! Can anyone tell me where the best place for a remap is? i live in bedfordshire but am willing to travel a bit! How much is a stage 1 from BSR?? (they dont like posting prices on their website). I also wanna replace shocks all round, any recommendations and perhaps some tuning tips??

Sorry to be a pain mate but i've noticed your from Luton, where did you buy your turbo from. It's just i know where there is a dodgy one for sale as i bought it and i am warning fellow members about it.

oh no the lad will be on a right downer now lol lets hope its not his veccy, bilstein shocks mate and eibach springs ya cant go wrong, but you will with those vx crap on lol, and bsr remap i think is around 500 squid, if ya go let me i may come and get my sri done all be it a diesel

I am going to stick my neck out here regards the remap...

When i was looking to have mine done, i looked at loads of places in my local area. Rolling road - Remap - Rolling road seems to be the best way. You then know exactly what you are getting. However, that can be pricey outside of an organized event.

I went to a place and spoke to the chap... Deal was he would do the remap, i could then test drive and if not happy, impressed etc he would restore the original and i could walk away at no cost... But, as soon as it was done and i had tested it.. I was happy to part with my money.. £200. The chap would also revert back to the saved map anytime i wanted to.

I will never know the exact figures unless it goes on a RR, but the difference was superb!

From my limited knowledge, find an established place to have it done. I found loads of "we come to your door and do it" but what is their history? Too much at stake for it to go wrong IMO.

I am happy with the results i got and the way i went about doing it.

I went down to Purley, Croydon and bough it from a chap at Eagle motors ltd. He runs his car business off his driuve but has been established for years and has a massive house! llol! he seemed like a sound guy.
Driving it back it was fine but when i got back to luton it started making some squeeky noises which im assumming have come fromn the breaks, its got new pads on old slightly warn discs. Hope this isnt the dodgy one! lol

Would just be my luck after my horrendous signum experience!

i was thinking the exact same thing. Which is why i was thinking of going to somewhere reputable like bsr, but i now know their expensive. Would be cool to have a bsr badge on the car somewhere though!

Has anyone had any experience with www.engenetics.com??? They same they'd do a remap for £325! Theres also www.superchips.com but again i presume they just use preset remap software and its not a custom remap?

Im hoping for a rolling road remap as the preset remaps worry me as each car will be slightly different to start with. Just not sure what you get for the money you spend.

well im having a remap next saturday and before and after rolling road £200 untill 31st jan then goes back up to £320

What a bargain mate. Is that in Burton though? would be a loong way to travel

Doesn't sound like the one for sale at lmc then. Hyperhart bought a red 53 plate 20T sri from there and had no end of problems with it and it's been put up for sale again, but glad it's not the one you bought then
