    Default Steering Rack leaking.Need Help.

I have a 2004 2.2 direct with a leaking steering rack.Noticed a while ago and is getting worse and now need to think about getting it sorted.
Been looking through the forums, and am i right in saying they cannot be fixed like they can on some cars and that they have to be replaced.
Are they available like on ebay as i have no idea what VX will sting me for parts and labour but you can guess it won't be cheap.Has anyone had one replaced, if so where would you recommend.

    Dobs.

Replaced mine last year for MOT, they said you can not replace the seals. Independant garage charged £290 all in (recon rack was £130). Mine's a 1.8 LS, there are three types of rack, this was the cheapest with the pump under the wing. You can get hydraulic oil additives that claim to stop leaks but not tried these.

Vx will telll you part number from reg no. The early vectras like mine has a seperate power steering pump under drivers side wing. Later vectras have the steering pump on the rack and hence more expensive. I was informed there is a steering rack with and without the steering angle sensor, although I imagine all C's need this.
