it'll be base coat with 2k laquer. If you want a good paint supplier try these, not sure if they post tho.

    www.fishermotorfactors.co.uk

All my paint is bought from there.

They also supply most of lincolnshire's body shops

Most matallic paints are a base coat then after u have covered it u then appy the clear laq but u can get it in a direct gloss which is already all mixed together u could mix the matallic paint with the 2k laq together and paint it like that its just longer to paint base coat with 2k clear on top but u do get a better finish paintin base coat the clear laq on top depends on how good u are i paint main in direct gloss and u cant beat my finish but i also get just the same finish if i paint base coat with clear 2k im just that good lol,,,,,only joking ppl ive just done it for a long time<<<

Do you reccomend 2 parts paint/1 part thinners then? I was told by a retired sprayer 50:50 mix and thats what i've always done but have had some reactions and have ended up using a isolater to prevent this (which has worked everytime) This may explain my reactions. Thanks

ye i always mix 2 parts paint to 1 part thinners.less thinners the less chance of reaction.
so much easier in that sense to use waterbase paint..but its expensive and takes aaaaages.lol.
