hard blowing noise from vec c v6 cdti v6

hi i have had this problem for a while a blowing noise coming from the engine compartment. right first thing first i turn over the engine and after about 10 seconds a noise kicks in like pipe has come loose so i taken the intake air filter pipe off and put my ear towards the inlet pipe which i think is the the mass air flow meter and i can hear the noise. so really what i am saying is does any one no where the pipes are connected too im thinking maybe could be egr valve

Chech intake pipe that comes into the air box. Kind of hard to reach though...
Won't be your EGR that's for sure

I have the same noise. It is intermittent, like exhaust noise but not there all the time, mainly when I am hardly accelerating on 1st gear and sometimes 2nd gear

Check you haven't blown through an EGR pipe.
