Engine Cuts Out at low speed

This has recently occurred. If I get stuck in stationary/very slow moving traffic for around 15 mins the EML comes on. Soon after the car will cut out and it wont start until about a minute has gone. It will then cut out moments later if the traffic is still slow. Once I get back to normal speed or park the car up for a while the EML goes off and the car is fine. Tried to download fault codes but its saying there are none, does the fault codes need downloading when the EML is on? Any idea what this could be?

it sound like air or fuel starvation to me.

when was it last serviced?

check your air filter for blockage.

Thanks. Thinking about it Ive had some creamy sludge build up in one of the pipes that comes off the engine that could be restricting air flow I will clean this out to see what happens. Thanks for your reply.
