Thumbs up Has the 1.9cdti Z1.9DTH engine ever been rated at 120 BHP?.

I think I remember an argument about this subject, from an Astra forum,on whether the Z1.9DTH engine has ever been sold as a 120 bhp engine.I am trying to settle a disagreement between some mates if this has ever been so.Can anyone help me ......please?.I also said that there was some info on the V5 document as to the BHP/PSI rating, but for the life of me I don't know where. FELIXX.

On some of the Astras yes some of the 120's were infact detuned 150's. Some but very few Vec's were too so I understand.

That's exactly what they are arguing about.Have any Vectra's been fitted with the 120 BHP detuned 16 valve engine?,and if so,where does it show up on their V5 document?. FELIXX.

For example my car on a insurance website will show up as a 120. But it is 16V and the V5 clearly states the HP so mine is a 150. Point is there where the filler cap sits doesn't determine HP. Personally I think there are few 16V with 120PS.

No, the 16v engine in 120 form never hit the vectra (99% sure of that), only early 1.9 astras. Although some as gazza says show up wrong on insurance data bases etc as vx put the wrong info in when they were first registered
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

the 16v 120 was only fitted to Vectra's and Signum's on the continent, so unless you have an Opel, it's very unlikey to be a 16v.

Well how about buying a V6 CDTi which according to the V5 is a Vectra SAT NAV 120? It has taken me months to try and sort this out. Letter from Vx taken to local DVLA and still waiting for the V5 showing what it really is
Odd thing is that ALL the insurance databases show what the car 'really' is
