Which rear number plate lights should my friend get?

Hi folks, lookin for some help here on behalf of a friend.

He has seen my rear xenon style led number plate lights on my audi and fancies some of his own!

He has a facelift Vectra 1.9 CDTI.

Can anyone post a link to the ones he should buy? does he need ones with the built in resistors due to canbus?

Any direct replacement. The number plate lights are not part if the bulb check system.

Ive just bought some of THESE.

I've got the mtecs aswell...

From what i found on here they are tho only things that will give you a nice white(ish) light with no other issues (i.e. strobing)

Unless anyone can correct me, maybe a new find along the LED lines??

so even though the bulbs in the link say they are for side lights they would be ok for number plate lights?

just want to make sure before i order them for him

also would these fit a pre-facelift aswell? my other friend has one.

yeah the vec has 501's in the side lights, number plate lights, interior lights and side repeater indicators...

Mine is a preface so definately 501 size

I tried mine in the interior before I put them in the number plate light and it looked so much better!
