First you need to determine if she has a dpf, but even so 3 times in a week is alot, mine does a regen every 700 to 1000 miles, but she does alot of slow cold runs, which tend to fill the soot trap faster. If the car is used alot on the motorways, normally the regen period is extended. If she has a dpf and does regen, DO NOT TURN THE ENGINE OFF till the regen has completed. There is a way to tell if you have a dpf, its a code on the drivers side door B post, look at the little black plate, if it has 0.50 in a little square, then your car has a dpf.
