Default 04 Vectra Estate Owner - Few Niggles

Just got home from getting my 04 Vectra Estate, done 106k but drives absolute mint and I love it (still wont fully replace my MK5 Golf GTi)! i'm only 21 but i coach rugby and need something to always pick stuff up I buy etc so got this.

    Anyway problems!

    Radio Safe - Fixed
Heaters 1,2,3 Dont Work - 4 Does - Could this be just a relay? If so which one and part number?
Warning Light - Looks like an upside down bulb? Is this just a bulb out (reg one is out) or something else?

    Thats about it for now!

    Thanks!

heater will probably be the resistor, part number 9180020 if the car does not have climate control, available on ebay and the warning light does sound like a bulb either out, or starting to fail. Im pretty sure it doesn't monitor the reg bulbs, easy to replace btw, but it does cover the rest. Check the rear lights carefully, as the car will use another bulb if one has failed, eg, if a brake bulb has gone, the car will use a sidelight as a brake light, clever these veccy's lmao.

Nice one cheers, just replaced the reg bulb it's easy. I will go check all my lights now and see if it's another one about to fail. Will report back in 5 mins.

Resistor pack - Talk to me - These cheap? Easy to fit etc?

    Thanks chaps!!

OK just checked all lights seam to work. No lights on the actual boot itself work? All the ones on the car do - I put it in reverse and the reverse lights come on (on the boot)

I press the rear fog light button (don't have front) and nothing happens. Can only guess these are in the boot light panel?

Veccy's only have a rear fog on the drivers side and only operate with the dipped beam on and there should also be sidelight bulbs lit on the tailgate, but if they are not working i figure thats why warning light lit on the dash. You have to remove the inner tailgate trim to replace the bulb.

If you have a rear fog light out that will be the lamp out warning. Vectras only have one, offside - drivers side.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Bulbs on the car itself are not broke. Not had a look on the ones on the actual boot lid with the reverse. Is this where the fog one is located?

yes, the fog light is in the cluster that is on the tailgate. If you look at the right hand lamp, the fog is to the left of the reverse light and the sidelight is above the reverse light. Estates have two sidelights on each side, one on the tailgate, the other on the car body.

Ok no lights on the tailgate work at all so guessing I have a fair few bulbs out of a real problem lol! Reverse still works on them though.

I will inspect the clusters tomorrow and no doubt end up breaking it getting the innter boot carpet of!
