Exclamation WARNING:CHEAP HID KITs FROM CHINA off EBAY.

I have just come off the telephone to an ebay call centre in Manilla, and after nearly an hour, yes an HOUR!!!!!,I think I may have got my problem sorted.Be warned about buying any cheap HID kits from China and a company called SUGUS-COM in particular.Their goods are complete crap. They overheat badly and could cause a car fire. They promised to replace the items, which were supposedly sent to me on the 14th of december, but have failed to appear yet.(No surprise there then is there!!!).When I tried to get info with the tracking number it was not recognized.SO BE WARNED AND REMEMBER,you get what you pay for!!!!. FELIXX.

I thought most HID kits were made in China?

They are. They are just repackaged and sold for twice the price. Think Felix's point is that its because he's bought direct from China that's the issue here. Knowing what I know now I would just buy the parts off ebay and build my own set next time.

Having done a bit of reasearch into hid techonology, apparently some the best kits come from korea not china, look blesk kits or kaixen if you want something more reliable. Rob

That's about the mark. The thing is although most of the electronics are from China, they vary in quality. The ones I am using now are also made in China, but, because the quality is better,(that also reflects in their cost),they don't even get warm after being in use for a long time.FELIXX.

Agreed, the quality can differ massively. Things like overheating won't get picked up on all sets as they won't be e or kite tested etc for the mainstream european market. If they were they would be filtered out as they would be classed as poor quality.
