Default Any Chartered or Incorporated Engineers Here?

I have been thinking about applying for this for a while just wondering anyone has done this in the past and was it worth it?

    Hi,

I'm Chartered, but always put it off until i joined a consultancy and was annoyed at having to find another Ceng to sign things off. So that gave the push i needed.

I didn't used to think it was worth it, but looking back it was. I guess it depends on what you are doing though. But it can get your foot in doors, if you know what i mean.

The process has been simplified in the past year or so, so that you don't need masses of paperwork as evidence. If you are experienced (10yrs plus) you mearly need to produce a CV, stating relevant experience etc, pay the fee and go for the interview. (more or less) The IET have changed this as too few engineers were willing to go through the pain of getting chartered the old way.

    Hope this helps.
