    Unhappy Intermittent vibration/buzzing ... HELP...

    Hi
i have just bought my 1st vauxhall which is a signum 2.0 d elite and loving the car , the problem i have is when i get to 60 and over the front passengers wheel starts vibrating/humming which u can feel through the whole car but its not constant its more intermittent . Thinking it was the wheel as it does have sum damage on the alloy but nothing major ive swapped front to back but still the same , thought it might be brake disc warped but cold to the touch when been for a drive plus no vibration coming through the pedal when braking , so im thinking the bearing but thought it would hum constant rather than intermittent plus it doesnt make any difference when cornering .... Any help please
    many thanks

Sounds like the tyre needs balancing, can you see the lead weights on the wheel, it could be a bearing but you will usually hear a clunking if the bearing has colapsed

    Hi mark
thought it would be the bearing to start with but with it humming intermittent and not constant i thought it might be something else and still none the wiser why its vibrating

road camber makes a difference on bearings and noise if the grab the wheel does not work try jacking it up put it on an axle stand and put it in gear and give it a few revs with the clutch out the diff will only let the wheel in the air spin and get some one to listen

This sounds similar to my problem. I am going to do a few checks on my car this weekend but did you find what the problem was with yours in the end?
