Default Finally stopped my hids from flashing

just thought i would share with you all that i finally stopped my hids from flashing when the car is on but the lights are off,
i had tried LOADS of combinations of cancellers but none worked,
asked vx to activate xenon lights to stop the bulb check system and they told me they wouldnt because they wernt factory fit,
so after a year if driving with the lights on i finally activated xenon lights to present and the dont flash anymore,
so for anyone else in the same boat it can be done by tech 2 if you find a dealer that will do it or find someone with the proper tools

Is that all it takes then to get HID's to work properly?

Does it fix the "bulb out" error or just the flickering lights?
Does this work only with "CanBus compatible" HID kits?

Sorry for the questions but I've been looking at HID kits recently (headlights are pretty cr@p) but couldn't find a definitive answer. Already got the 'Pop-Corn' tool ;-)

    grahams,
as far as im aware it will fix the bulb out warning cant say for sure as i never had it but to my understanding the car wont check them anymore,
and my kit was "CanBus compatible" but still flashed so in answer to that yes
only took 5 mins on the "tech 2"
hids were by far the best thing ever fitted to a vec go for it

Mine were a cheap £35 set that I had in my old Fiat Punto.

Changed the setting in the ecu and all is fine.
