    Default cv joint

is it possible to change just the cv joint or does it have to be the full driveshaft?

the car is booked in on sat in peter vardy for a free mechanical health check to see what needs repaired but i head it needs to be the full driveshaft?

if thats the case im just gonna try trade her in because im just not spending any more cash on it.

    any input welcome guys

I am not sure but some are made nowadays so they are not meant to come off. If you try and hit it hard enough you will pull the end of the staft off, and need a new complete driveshaft.

Haynes show a replacement proceedure - just like my old Cav with a circlip you need to spread inside the joint.

I know the type. Remove the boot and clean the grease, then you should see the circlip then.
