Default removing condensation on the inside?

I know how moisture gets into the car and school boy science tells me why it condenses on the windows but its really bad at the moment and I'm not sure of the best way to get it out again? Things have only got bad this past week since my daily commute changed from 40 miles to 4 miles (could there be any connection?).

I was under the impression that the air con removes moisture from the air as it passes through the system but Ive tried this for a week and its not solved the problem.

Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

    Cheers

Check pollen filter not black and blocked and water vent underneath it.

But look at other vectras in the car park all the same yes i think you will say?

Mine does it front and rear no water in spare wheel well no damp in boot or floors and new pollen filter.

Leave air vents facing the floor and it still does it and not using water.

So my opinion and mine only for my car is it must have spent 6 months under water from new as it's only got 9k on clock 58 plate and as this is it's only problem but it's a very poor design fault.

I read cleaning the inside of the glass with shaving foam stops the misty haze forming if that helps?

As well as drying and cleaning round about the pollen filter drain make sure the rubber access flap on the scuttle panel is all flat and sealed i.e no gaps around the edge.

Yes i cleaned the screen i did make some good for about a week then it was back.

If you can leave a small gap in a window open it helps to a point if left out in sunshine but rarley much of that as late.

    Should have got a mondeo.

Thanks for the suggestions. The pollen filter should be ok (it was new about 3 months ago) but will check and check the drain holes too while I'm there.

Air con does warm as well as cold (albeit not very warm). If car air con works the same way that normal air con does, moisture in the air is removed as it passes through the system (effecively drying the air). Its the reason that some people complain of a dry mouth and occasionally nausea in heavily air conditioned environments.

I had a 60 plate 2.0 tdci zetec for a week over the new year, it was worse than the Vectra for misting up... the only good thing i could find about it was the heated wired front screen.

I was very open minded & looking forward to using it, however i won't be buying one.

its a problem with most modern cars fitted with pollen filters. The cars can't 'breathe' like they used too and so mist up at the drop of a hat. I tend to keep a couple of tea towels in the car to wipe the glass, when hit by misting.

If the aircon doesn't clear it you have other problems. Are we talking misting up or condensation.
