Default cdti 150 low down power probs...

Hi all, im still having problems with the low down power on my cdti 150.

below 2000rpm compared to my old cmax it feels flat, not much pull at all really until the turbo kicks in??

ive read up on the probs with the egr,,boost valve and swirl bar so checked all of these and they are ok.

i gave the egr and boost valve a good clean and this helped improve things a little.

the swirl bar is still attached and you can see it moving freely when the engine is revved up.

is there anything else i can check myself ?? throttle body prehaps?

or is it just a characteristic of this engine?

    cheers

    steve

Yes fitting the semi gaskets will help slightly with turbo pick up, I have both fitted but the idea from fiat was, The oval for the 120 & the square for the 150, But if your vehicle has had full dealer service & software updates or a new latest update EGR the gasket/s may throw up a fault light, my 04 rg has the original EGR & no up to date software & is FINE.

when i first picked the car up and drove it home the the light that looks like a little car with a spanner came on , then the engine managment light come on .
rac checked the code and there was a code to do with air inlet leak? , he said the egr valve was sticking so hit it with a hammer and sprayed some egr cleaner into the air intake.
this got it running but its still pretty flat below 2000rpm.
i took the boost sensor and the egr valve off and gave them a good cleanwhich helped a little but im still not 100% happy.
the car supermarket i got the car from have said they will pay vauxhall to fit a new egr valve but how do i know this will cure it.
is there a way of checking if it is the egr valve? prehaps disconnecting the plug from it ?

i have had no warning lights since i cleaned the egr valve and ii did a 95 mile trip down the mway and was getting 50mpg sat at 70mph ? is this right?
also ive noticed i can here a light "clicking noise when the turbo is spooling up?
also i could smell fuel under the bonnet after my mway run?
    any ideas?
should i just take it to vx?

The clicking maybe to do with the intake leak code, recheck all pipes & hoses for splits.
