Anybody Else Got/Had This Problem ?

Sitting In Car Parked Up,Car Passes By And You Can`t Hear Much At All..Louder As It Gets Level/Passes Me...Have Checked Door seals/Tailgate Seal And Made Sure Windows Are Right Up

Any Ideas ?

I think it depends upon what you are used to.

My previous car was very well sealed (VW) and you couldnt hear cars going passed. When I first got the Vectra I though one of the seals had become worn or something.

But no... i think its just a case of poorer seals and soundproofing.

Please let us know if you have a solution.

yeah that same as me.nearside rear...door/tailgate....forever checking door and window shut lol

will give it another going over and see what i can find out

Nope never noticed, in fact i was pretty impressed with the soundproofing tbh.

I believe the pre-facelifts had better soundproofing (eg in the rear wheel arches).

This is one of the first things i noticed when i got my (first ever) 04 reg vectra C a few months ago. Kept checking the windows but all fully wound up.

Car before this was a 1997 vectra B that i had for 6 years & was a lot quieter in this respect.

On the subject of noise, i was suprised to hear the ammount of road noise from the vectra C..... more noisy than my previous vectra B.
