Is there any reason why the r ear wheel bearings cannot be pressed out and replaced???

The hub is a factory sealed unit which incorporates the ABS reluctor ring and sensor. Easy to just bolt a new unit on and I only paid £55 for a FAG OE one on ebay.
as tridley says sealed unit and an easy fix
If you think you need a new rear wheel bearings, is it because of a rumbling noise? If so, that's usually caused by tyre wear rather than a faulty bearing.
I have changed the tyres twice over the time i have had the car... Brakes stripped and cleaned, new discs and pads..noise still present..despite sailing through 3 mots..hmmm
have you checked for any play at 12/6 o clock,9/3 o clock
literally just gone through an mot...nowt mentioned...?????
Unless there is play it wouldn't fail the mot.
The Vec C/signum bearings don't tend to have play although they can whine like hell. What you have to do is jack the car up and listen closely as you turn the wheel, the rumbling bearing will feel different to a good one
I changed my r,n,s because of a ticking noise that drove me mad new hub assembley cured it.no play in the old unit
