Smile Did my good deed for today...

Driving back home today (from a funeral of all things! ) I saw a little MG sports car (old one) pulled up on the side of the road (kinda in the middle of nowhere) and a warning triangle behind. Saw a middle aged woman on the grass verge on a mobile so assumed they had broken down. Travelled a bit further and saw a guy walking along the verge, so I pulled over and asked if he was from the MG and if he'd broken down. They'd run out of petrol as the fuel gauge (as they'd just found out) was faulty as it was still showing half full - so I said I'd give him a lift. So I zipped him down to the nearest petrol station, waited while he bought and filled up a canister and zipped him back and dropped him off. He was very appreciative and wanted to give me some money. Told him I didn't want anything but that he may (one day) be able to return the favour - gave him a couple of my business cards and asked if he ever knew of anyone after a photographer could he pass them my details.

It's a busy road so I wonder just how many people drove past without giving a monkeys! I hope that if I was in a similar situation there would be another like-minded person that would do the same. I'm a firm believer in 'What goes around, comes around' whether that be people doing good for other people, or people treating others like sh*t - you reap what you sow.

    D

It is nice to hear that there are blokes like you about, willing to help some one in need, to me these sort of good deeds help to make the world go round more smoothly.. Well done Duncan, good man.

Well done D, i would have done the same but in this day and age people are too scared of what might happen.
Strange and cruel world we live in unfortunately.
