Hey
I will lower my V6 CDTi (IDS+) with either SRi or VXR springs and shock absorbers. What would you recommend.
It must be original.
Is there a big difference between VXR and SRi?
Cheers

Mate...
Wouldn't you be better off buying after market springs that are suited to your model? CDTi's will be heavier than SRi and VXR models surely.
You'd run the risk of them failing, and that can end up pretty catastrophic.
Ive thought about changing my sri springs and putting vxr springs on.Wouldn't it make it lower and have better handling?....
got a full set of gsi springs if you want to collect them.![]()
You wont be able to remove the shocks with IDS unless you take the IDS system out, you can only change the springs,
The Shocks are linked in to the ECU , I think Spoons took them all out including the springs so may be worth asking him
Do coilovers tend to cause more tyre wear, or is that rubbish? Bloke that told me that lies more often than he can keep up with.
