    Default VXR or SRi

    Hey

I will lower my V6 CDTi (IDS+) with either SRi or VXR springs and shock absorbers. What would you recommend.
    It must be original.

Is there a big difference between VXR and SRi?

    Cheers

    Mate...

Wouldn't you be better off buying after market springs that are suited to your model? CDTi's will be heavier than SRi and VXR models surely.

You'd run the risk of them failing, and that can end up pretty catastrophic.

What type of model do you have at the moment? Sri springs are 15mm lower than any other model. I'm not sure about VXR springs.

It is a normal suspension with IDS+

Don't you think the V6 CDTi have the same weight like the 2.8 ?

You wont be able to remove the shocks with IDS unless you take the IDS system out, you can only change the springs,

The Shocks are linked in to the ECU , I think Spoons took them all out including the springs so may be worth asking him

Yes I did remove the IDS shocks and springs.

I've got KW Variant 2 Inox Coilovers on the car now and had to electronically remove IDS+ from the ECU using Tech2

Its now very low and flat

Do coilovers tend to cause more tyre wear, or is that rubbish? Bloke that told me that lies more often than he can keep up with.
