Default Sudden fuel dump... or perhaps not.

    Hello folks

Recent Signum owner here (2.2 Elite, Blue). Well pleased with it, and also seems to have passed the wife's 'not an estate' test, so she's very happy to drive the nipper around in it, with his milk in the fridge...

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this one, but bear with me. Last week in the cold and wet I was 2 miles from home with 1/8 tank left. On board computer had just given me the 30 miles remaining warning. Slowing to a stop on a very slight downward slope I noticed the fuel light now flashing, and the needle at horizontal rock bottom. Slight panic, but then over the next two miles my fuel gradually reappeared.

Could someone confirm that the signum tank is shaped in a way that the sensor loses all fuel when it's on the dregs and pointed downwards? I've had this happen before on other cars, just not to such an extent or on such a slight slope.

Also, epoxy or silicon to refix a wobbly wing mirror glass to its (heated) base. Thanks.

See you around in Farnborough/Guildford or the M4.

    Welcome

I'd use silicone, high heat resistance
