Default Cdti lack of power engine sluggish

I was out in my car yesterday drove fine for about an hour then came to a roundabout tried to pull away and had no power engine would not rev past about 2000rpm. No warning lights on, once the the revs build up ( takes ages ) it does rev higher but still lacks power.Even revving the engine when stationary it splutters and struggles to rev. Checked the swirl flap linkage and that is ok, my car is a 56 plate 1.9 cdti 150

Sound like the usual EGR valve symtoms mate. Had this similar problem with my dads one where there was no power under 2k rpm. New EGR valve from Vx and all is now well.

As for the spluttering, that could be the 3rd injector wiring as it may be misfiring. Check the connector on the 3rd injector to see if its yellow or blue, I think the blue connectors are the new ones.

Plenty of threads to hand on this site, have a quick search.

    Good luck.

    Angry

Cleaned my egr valve, plunger ok not sticking, removed the throttle valve cleaned the holes through to the inlet manifold, cleaned the boost pressure sensor, started car still running rough. Although my car has the blue injector plugs i thought I'd take a look and no3 injector plug is brown/rusty, can this be cleaned and refitted or do i need a new plug/wiring tried giving it a clean with wd40 but still missing

cleaning with a solvent / carb cleaner, then use an electrical contact spray. follow the guide in the 'how 2' section CLEAN the egr again & DO the drilling of the electrical solenoid half, use only a good straight punch for this, the inners maybe dirty/rusty, clean well till shiny, lubricate with wd 40 or i always use & recommend an electrical contact spray!!

Removed the plastic shield that the injector wiring goes into and found the problem, the main dealer had employed a chimp or a 6 year old child to fit the new injector wires on the recall, very poor soldering and f**k all insulation, well done Vauxhall
