    Default Fixpoints & thule

I have been trying to find me a roofrack set, for a (03) Hatch Veccy. All websites (thule, halfords etc) suggest:-
    Bars 761/861
    Footpack 753
    Fitting kit 3006
    So being a tight ****** got bars 761 & footpack 753 off ebay £28.
However all the pics i see of the fitting kit show a vertical drop bolt that pressumable goes into the fixpoint- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Thule-3006-Rap...item35a9b8bfad, but whilst on a quick inspection on the vehicle the fixpoints seem to be different. It looks like it should clamp/ pinch from the sides kind of under edges of the fixpoint??
Can anybody share some light on perhaps a different thule fitting kit with these hooks/teeth to clamp under fixpoint?
The bars & feet should arrive today/tomorrow in post, so the plan was halfords for fitting kit, but like I said not so sure 3006 looks right!?!?!?

ive fitted Thule to my 54 signum..i already had the aero bars so i bought the footpack and fitting kit you did ...anyway, just nipped out and took the top cover off to get some pics....they do clamp around the fixings in the gutter - 3 prongs wind in to grasp it - you can kind of see it in the picture.. i bought the 3006 kit - just checked the box and it states for vectra 02>

Ahh yes that looks familiar. The Bars & feet arrived 7am this morning & look in top nic for ebay. The fitting kit is obviously wrong but was off a mondeo so expected!
Thanks Stox, The pics look pretty much as i hoped & help greatly thanks. One more quick question though. Do they not need the rubber feet to fit to the roofline curves? There seems to be a inch gap under the feet so to speak (in the picture) do they remain suspended like that or is the void filled?
Anyhow I guess Halfords is on the list for today for the 3006 then...

well there is a front cover that i removed for the pics and this sits closer to the roof so its not so bad but i asked the same question after id fitted mine (see my post below) -it seems thats how they are. i dont notice it now to be honest but yeah at first i expected them to follow the roofline

Yes just read your old thread seems like how I feel know.. I got fitting kit today & all went on fine nice & secure, just looks odd.
I came to the conclusion I could also have ago hacking a hole through the rubber feet & try to include them on the fitting. Useful? Or perhaps the contact with paint = bad. Hence why raised to beguin with??
Anyway full set cost me £50 so not bad Just gotta find some stuff to take to tip for test! Thanks again Stox for braving the cold for piccys.
