Default Some quick advice (new springs)

    Hey peeps,
Just had some new front springs replaced in my 06 vectra sri. I was just reading a thread about noisy suspension after replacing struts and coils. Well it mentioned in there about putting the rubber sleeaves back on the coils. I have just checked my old coils (kept them to send to council as pot hole broke one) and the rubber sleeves are still on the old pair.
So my question is Do I need to have the sleeves put back on?

    Cheers

I still have the ones of the old coils. Do you think I could just clamp the spring and slip it on whilst the strut is still attached to the car?

I have read that they are there to stop the coils from knocking and making noise. Had new springs on for nearly 2 weeks without the sleeves on and so far no probs. But just in case they are going back on thursday.
