    Question Tacho output terminal?

Does the tacho (rev counter) on a Vec/Signum has a Tacho output terminal on the back of it..? If it doesn't what alternatives do i have as this new boost gauge i am about to fit has a built in plasma tacho as well so should try and wire it in..

Think theres a rpm signal which comes from the ABS to the back of the radio.. I'll have a looksie.

Blue/Red cable back of radio is 'Speed Sense Cable' (Pin 37) Dunno if this will give you what you need?

Thanks bud.. dunno if it will but can be tried, my simple instructions just state to tacho output. I have not had the clocks out on this car so far to see if there is anything behind it that serves this purpose..

    I have four wires..

Red - to ignition switch 12v(+)

    Back - Battery(-)

Green - On standard coil ignition attach wire to negative said of coil, on electronic ignition connect the green wire to tacho output.

White - Connect to boost sensor wire

I assume i can connect to the postive on the ciggy lighter for the red wire, i guess i need to run the black all the way back to the battery negative terminal. The white wire , well thats the easy one.. Green to tacho output or that pin 37 on the back of the radio. What do you think?

Thinking about it, might as well take both pos and neg feeds to the ciggy lighter. Its a switched live and there no point in leaving the boost gauge with a permanent live unless it needs it, its not like its gonna be working without the engine running lol

well so far this thing is as dead as a dodo... i have wired the positive and negative to the cig lighter and checked that it is putting out enough voltage yet the gauge does not light up at all.. whats worse is the sodding pvc pipe they supplied to go from the T piece to the stepper motor is not good for engine bays and seems to have melted/shrivelled somewhat. I guess i need to get a few metres of 6mm (internal diameter) fuel line as well...

why would this gauge not power up though, any ideas?
