    Default Breather filter

I know all about these atmospheric breather filters and tbh dont really want a catch tank but also dont want my engine covered in used oil. Where is the best place to locate the breather so this doesnt happen, i can get all the pipework needed.

I had a catch tank but took it off as it still allows some of the crank case fumes to carry the oily mist back into the loop. There was never any oil in it anyway!!.I've just extended the outlet pipe to the back end of the car and secured it on the back sub frame, near the exhaust box.I have a filter that came with the catch tank on the end,but I don't think it is really necessary,so if it comes off I won't be replacing it. mmm... may be make my own then with a filter inside not allowing oil through, maybe with a screw cap to service it. Also i can put the right size inlets on rather than reducer pipes

Definitely a good mod as i was getting oil around my turbo before.

I haven't found any problems running these engines as yet with no vac on the oil breather, but would have thought if you do happen to have a slight oil leak it will certainly show up after this mod.

What i have done is run a breather filter and blanking plug on the air inlet for now. I will however remove this vac inlet all together once i have run this for a bit and check the running of the car
