Mick.n,
How easy was it to fit the arms without taking of the scuttle? Looking at doing this fix.

oh and i hope it does not rain
as above a couple of strong cable ties for a temporary fix
A bit of a fiddle mate....the reason i left the scuttle in place is because i couldnt get the wiper arms off the spindles & i didnt have a puller.
I just held the scuttle up a little to allow my hands to get in (used a piece of wood to hold it up).
Its easy to remove the old rods......mine came of no problem as they were badly worn.
I used these to squeeze the new rods over the metal balls as they are a tight (ish) fit. These plumbers type of pliers have long handles & the leverage they give when squeezing the rods over the balls makes the job quite easy. Once i had given up trying to get the wiper arms of it only took me around 5 minutes to get the new rods fitted using these pliers.
You will get a few cuts & scratches though! But definately do-able.
We shall give it a go, n/s wiper died on way home. Will try temp fix in the morning.
