signum clutch problems

hi all. i have a 56 plate signum. last week i got into my car pressed the clutch down to the floor and started the car. it made a grinding sound and the clutch pedal stayed almost to the floor and wouldn't alow me to select a gear. i turned the engine off and physicly lifted the pedal up and all was ok and back to normal. however, today it happened again.

durring these problems the car is changing gear fine and smooth..

any one had any simular problems or any idea's

Just idea could be air in your clutch hydraulic pipe or a sticking conical slave cylinder just a few ideas mate and what's your brake fluid like as your clutch will take a feed off there to your bell housing so make sure there is no leaks or no fluid in the reservoir
