Now my Vectra from 2006 is installed with the CD70 Navigation.

I'm about to buy a DVD90 Navigation, and want to give my CD70 to my friends, before promising him anything i would like to know if it's possible to install my CD70 into his car?

Mine is the faceliftet model his is not.

Hope you can be helpful ;o)

Not as it stands no, but you can get a wiring harness and change some other bits (CIM) steering wheel controls? and some other bits.
Plasma's Tech2 services are now open and able to provide services

    Its not impossible...

    He will need:
Screen (to facelift CID or Satnav ready GID)
    Radio
    Convert ISO to Fakra
    RGB lead
ECC panel (if the car has Electronic Climate Control)
Satnav aerial (aftermarket for 10£ on ebay (blue fakra plug)

If steering wheel controls also going to work
    Facelift steering wheel
    Facelift Airbag
    CIM

I dont he needs the switches on the steering wheel to work, if he wants i have my old steering wheel laying around as i've change mine to the VXR one

Just to make things clear he has navigation installed now i think it's NCDC2013 with color display.

Will he still need to change his screen and sat arial also?

He does not have the climate control, so that should not be problem.

yes still need to change the display and aerial.

he can maby use the arieal, if he can get the gps plug converted to fakra.

(its not enough just to change the steering wheel.. also needs to change the CIM)

    CIM -> Steering Wheel Module

Det er Rat stamme modul der hvor viskerarm mv. er sat ind.

Look on ebay.. you probaly need to buy 2 adaptors and the connect the correct wires together.. (as i did on my NCDC retrofit).. but shouldt take more than 20 minuts to make.. when you have them..

I know you need 2 SOT leads
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SOT-122-Vauxha...item3cb049b4f4
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SOT-078-VAUXHA...item5195750b6f

Edit: it should be those SOT leads.. but dont look like they have wires to all pins, as that whould be a very good start, maby needs to be found on ebay.

Are you sure you need to change the CIM ?

I have a 2003 CIM and 2003 BCM in my Cavalier (Vectra-A), which quite happily work with my CD70, GID, Scroller wheel controls and 2005 light switch.

If it is just the Infotainment system that is being changed, then you will need

    1) SOT122S autoleads cable
    2) Fakra / aerial adapter for the radio
    3) Patch GPS aerial with Fakra connector for sat-nav
    4) and a minor rewire of the screen connector and CAN wires for the head unit
    5) Physical modification of a facelift screen surround if it is a CID.
GID is not a wide screen unit - if I remember correctly, and so will fit a pre-facelift surround.
