ive noticed the park brake is making a funny clunk when applyed(lower end of the stroke)? as ive only just got the car in the past week, is there any big things i should be worrying about?

Is the handbrake working ok - I bought an 04 Vectra estate just before Christmas - seemed ok - parked it on the drive which is on a bit of a slope after quarter of an hour heard an almighty crash and it had rolled down the drive and through the garage door. Since then I have changed the calipers, discs and pads and put a new set of tyres on it and it is fine - but loads of threads about handbrake problems and there have been a couple of recalls including one where the handbrake ratchet spring is replaced. If you contact your local VX dealer and give the registration number they should tell you if the work has been done
