HELP .....please....no rev's atall ???????

hi if anyone could throw some light on my problem please
i have a 54 150 vectra cdti
i was on my way home from work today when my car started to slow up and not rev much atall(spanner/car light pops up then go's off) then after a short time it would be ok,then when slowing down for the lights it started acting up again(light on again) running lumpy and loosing revs, anyway managed to get her home parked on my drive had a look under the bonnet to see if any vac(the 2 at the front on top of the rad,and the other end of the top 1) pipes had split or come off ....nope all fine,
turned her off and then started her again (on the button) now she wont even rev nothing not even a little,let her cool down for an hour went back out
(in the peeing down rain i might add) and started her up bang on(light on dash car/spanner through it go's off after a while) went to rev her again,and again nothing ...........any ideas lads n lasses ????

not to sure mate, i think it be at the back top.

are you getting any cosed if you do pedal test?

before you put the key into the ignition Make sure that you Press the Break and the Throttle to the Floor ( max

Then turn the key on until The dash board come on and DONT START THE CAR

just tried the pedal test about 20 times and rock all flashed up, had to come in and have a brew started to loose my rag with it........... i'll pass on the break pedal test
anyone any ideas without the test malarcky?????

sounds like injector no3 wiring/EGR to me.... Brake pedal test wont work with this car btw,

If its a misfire and runs on 3 cylinders and can be cured by gently wriggling injector no3 cable near the injector itself then its the wiring.

If it wont rev at all from cold but starts to rev after a while it sounds like EGR

no miss fire, it starts up noproblem without pumping the acc pedal,but when you go to rev it there is nothing atall, not even the slightest hint of the throttle even when its warm???,so possable egr problem???? what would i have to do to fix the problem please ???

have a search for EGR cleaning on here, will show you how to do it.. Best bet though is to get codes read but if your handy with a spanner worth cleaning the EGR.

Could also be inlet manifold as well, impossible to tell from here though

just done the search for how 2 for the egr,dosnt look to hard,do's it have a gaskett ?? and will any motor stores sell these or is it a steels only jobbie ???
as for the inlet manifold this sounds like a big/costly job would i be correct
