Default Holding onto revs on gear change...does yours?

I've found that when i change from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd, sometimes the revs keep climbing another 200rpm or so or just hold at what they are for a second....does yours?

Guessing its just a poopey electronic throttle...much prefer a good old wire!

    No, never seen that
Then again I tend to release the gas and then depress clutch
I used to try and match the revs during gear changes, don't bother any more

You both have 2.2 petrol engines...
If still under warranty report for diagnosis
Most likely come back as no fault found, but at least it is on record for future failure which can then be backdated

They role out of the factory like that, its part of the fly by wire. Its mapped in to supposedly smooth out city/stop start driving.

Cheers guys , I chEcked for fault codes using the techniques listed and nothing came up. Thought the throttle body might be caked up or something. Right stupid idea if you ask me! It means I have to slow down my gearshifts as the synchro doesnt really like it at the moment hoping the gearbox oil change will resolve that though

    Tried in my car
Tried on the level, uphill, and downhill
    No change in the revs

    Tried in a relatives car, a 1.8
I noticed a very slight increase on releasing the gas pedal, at below 10mph, but only in 1st or 2nd gear

    Went back to my car
    Couldn't recreate it

So, what about the 1.9 diesel, does it do it?
