Default A Quick Turnaround Of The Vectra...

Well the car's been a bit unloved recently as we've been so busy at work. As such, I've just been giving it a 'quick detail' as and when i've had a few minutes.
As you can see, sometimes a couple of panels at a time...

This afternoon I finished a bit early and set to work with the clay. I then applied a couple of layers of poorboys Black Hole and finished off with my all-time favourite Jetseal 109. I'm sure there are better methods etc... but I'm happy with the finish and it's 100% better than it has been lately.

A couple of the bonnet reflections (I like these)...

Unfortunately the camera battery died before I could take any full-car 'after' shots... Oh well, I think that'll do until the London meet when I'll have another full day on it

That's the reflection in the bonnet... you can tell by the 'ripples' that are just about showing in the 'window'.

HaHa, something tells me he's not serious...

That is a damn good shine, I'm going to have to give this detailing lark a go. Can you get good results on a light silver car, cant imagine it looks quite as deep and shiney??

I'm not going to get into a full-on detailing spiel here, but the truth is that is the shine I achieved this afternoon with minimal effort.

TBH with you, I applied a couple of layers of Black hole to the entire car and then a couple of layers of Jetseal 109. In fairness though, the bonnet has had 4(ish) layers of BH as I've just been testing it out by layering it up to see the maximum result achievable.

I am not in any way, shape or form a pro or an expert. I enjoy doing what I do and will continue to just do what I can with a relatively small collection of products and my limited knowledge.

I reckon you can achieve a good finish on silver with the right products and some time / effort. Spend some time over at Detailing World and you'll see what can be done.

Mine's not the most well-detailed car on the road - but I'm pretty certain it's one of the cleanest taxis about
