Depends on the size of your hands and flexiness so to speak, i just took the airbox out and removed the washer bottle neck that gave me aenough space to work. Worth doing the sidelights at the same time unless you have already. Though quite a few people have removed the bumper too, just didn't see the need myself.
Cool, i am lazy but my mate is helping me and he will persist. just didnt fancy taking the bumper off to do it.
I bought some error free sidelights too, hopefully they are ok.
Cheers![]()
i fitted mine without removing the bumper i have the same light units as yourself , just remove the screen wash filler neck * remember to put a rag in the hole so nothing falls down there * and remove the air filter box
I have removed the bumper on the two i have done, its only 10 mins to take off and makes life so much easier
I took the airbox out. The only tricky bit I found was getting the airbox drain pipe back in when refitting.
I didn't fancy taking the bumper off.
Each to his own.
I think one could half the time taken to fit, after the first time.
iv removed the bumper as well only takes 10 min and makes it much easier ....changed side light and fog light bulbs at the same time
What bulbs you using in side lights and fogs ????
If my cold picks up i'll be fitting my HIDs and sidelights at the same time tomorrow. I am planning to see how easy I find it to remove the bumper as first option, then as a second I'll try and go in from under the bonnet. To be honest, the how to on here of removing the bumper seems so easy to follow I can't see why it would be a problem. I have baught mtec 501s for my sidelights. From HIDS-DIRECT. They came in a box completely covered in Japanese writing, so I'm hoping that they are obvious to fit when it comes to it, as this is my first job like this.
I took my bumper off and removed headlight units, much Easier to do
