    Default Realy missing my car!!!

A while ago a fella bumped me, anyway my car went in for repair begin of january, anyway the brand new door and other parts arrived but the door had a dent on it, so the garage have sent it back to xchange, so repair is delayed which im glad of really as i wouldnt be happy avin a brand new door with a dent obviously. But i do really miss my car, im stuck wi a tiny 1.0l toyota aygo, dint realise how much u miss ur own car when there not there! It feels wierd, had it 2 years now so bonded! Lol, Although i am savin money on fuel as the toyota is 65mpg! But role on when the vec is ready!! Anyone else appretiate their own car after driving summet else!?

I've had mine 6 years now. Its got that many scratches and little dints on it now I just dont bother. I've learnt the hard way that going through insurance messes you up down the line even when its not your fault.

I had a non fault prang end of november, a 4x4 hit me at 55mph whilst I was stationary lol. Anyway they gave me a hire car and it was the total opposite I didnt want to give it them back lol. They gave me a 60 plate mondeo 2.0 tdci titanium x, it was amazing only had 2500 miles on clock.
As rushy said going thru insurance messes you up down the line, my insurance went up £362 at renewal, full liability was admitted and I kept all NCB and they said a non fault claim will not put up my insurance. But it did, I did an online quote with and without the claim and prices came back with a £200-£300 difference.

Jow20 as its a non fault you could have pushed for a like for like vehicle. Insignia, mondeo or passat etc should have been supplied imo.

Well his insurance are disputing liability at moment.. Usual tale!! So that why i cudnt get like for like. So only allowed a 1.0 litre courtesy car! Looks like its gunna be a court jobby! Which i dont mind, if they go into it, accident assessors damage reports etc.. The truth will come out that i was stationary.

I saw your car yesterday, being ragged down the M1 at 120mph...

Just a quickie, when my brother was hit last year & it was a none fault claim, he got an estimated quote off his insurance for the next year & as you have stated it was about £170 more with a higher excess and would be for 5 years so he claimed for this against the other persons policy as a loss adjustment and recieved just over £1000. Will it work for you? I dont know, but I dont see why not.

Mmm, not too sure mate, its down the line now though so too late.

Two winters ago a van slid into the back of me, I told my insurance company, just in case I pushed it through, but after I'd cleaned the car there was no damage to the bumper and the small scratches polished out so there was no claim. Upon renewal they upped my insurance, saying I may have not claimed but it was still classed as a none fault accident .....To say the none speaking Indian call centre got an ear full would be an understatement.
