Car tax info.

Got my car tax reminder yesterday as it runs out the end of the month, but i've heard a rumor that the tax bands for my car (GSi) and others like it (i.e my old mans V6 Omega) are going to be changing in April to the highest band.
At the mo 6 months is £134.75 and 12 months is £245 but as my insurance and MOT roughly happen at the same time as the tax i was only going to get 6 months to space it out.
Does anyone know if this is true as if it is i'll get 12 months instead to delay the £425 a year payments.

I haven't heard any of that and believe the link "rock" has put up to be correct. I expect it's just scare tactic gossip at the moment.

GSi is band K, seen your link before but i'm told that that will be changing.

Thats just it though. They know that people will not hang up their keys and that most who drive it's an essential part of everyday life and we'll keep paying and paying and paying until someone does something about it. We're cash cows

£425 is a lot of money and I hate paying it but it works out at £ 1.16 a day to tax - Ahhh that makes me feel better lol

* Band K includes cars that have a CO2 figure over 225g/km but were registered before 23 March 2006
