Default Some good news, some bad news...

Good news is my Vec passed it's MOT today

Bad news is that there's a 20% brake imbalance at the front...

Was told I could be due to a warped disc or sticking caliper. How is best to check this? Discs and pads have about 25k on them.

More than likely a sticking caliper , the only real cure is to strip the caliper then clean and reseat it .

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm guessing that would involve removing the caliper as you would when changing pads, clamping the hose and unscrewing it from the unit and then taking the whole lot to bits in the workshop.

Remove the caliper , then wind out the piston , then clean up with brake cleaner, rewind back in and replace .
