    Default Central Locking Microswitch

Hi what part has the central locking microswitch, O/S/F. 2003 Veccy
I have tried pushing the latch of the lock in twice but that light still stays on as if the door was open. So no point trying the to move the stricker plate, I have looked over the net and see it uses a door lock motor and solenoid, but what part contains the microswitch as it is built into the lock itself.

    Thanks

I thought the microswitch was in the door stay assembly, not the latch. Same place as the interior light switch - might even be the same switch?

Cheers ChrisBilly that has worked , took off the door loom there was small amounts of moisture in there, gave it a blast to get the water out and thats it, hopefully it will be ok. Whats the best way of stopping any more water from getting in, there seems to be a orange ring round about it which seems in good condition, but yet the water still got in?

right an update, the door loom fix lasted two days. I thought i had found the fault with some moisture being in the plug, but was wrong as it now and again gave me a door open light. The only way it would let me lock the doors or stop the car thinking the door was open was to reset the door loom plug, after that it was fine for a short while.
I finally found the fault yesterday and it has nothing to do with the door switch, its the window motor don't know why the only thing that gave me a hint was that when the car thought my door was open the window would only work when i kept my finger on the button, usualy you can hold the button down for a few seconds and it would do it automatically. I took the door card off pulled the window motor plug out and the door switch works fine, triple checked it to make sure by plugging it back in and everytime the door light comes back on.

So just thought id give you all update and has anyone else had this before?

I'm having a similar problem at the moment too.

My O/S/R door is showing as open on the little dash display, but it isn't.

The problem though is that the interior lights won't go out. I can't turn them off so I've had to take the bulbs out.
The weird thing though is that the rear-view mirror doesn't seem to auto-dim either now.

These cars are too damn clever for their own good!

Is a new lock mechanism required to fix this?

Has anyone else had this fault?

After you have unplugged the door loom you have to reprogram the auto windows by keep pressing th up button for a few seconds after the window have reach upper position.

Think you have to change the lock to solve this problem.
