Hello just wondering if there is anybody in the north wales/ chester area with tech 2 or equivalent who is able to activate my trailer module on my 1.9 cdti. Thanks

Thanks for reply. I have installed everything but i need to activate it in REC DIS And IPC. I have done the REC but cant do the others as my opcom is playing up. Paul

Have you try to connect trailer to the contact and see if its light? Last time a mounted I didnt need to activate with tech 2.

I have and it works ok but the light is on on the dash to tell me the bulb has failed.

If the lights is ok but you got the warning it's probably because the trailer have used common wire for right and left light.

If you are taking the trailer wiring from the rear light cluster(s) then did you use a 7 way bypass relay? If not then this will cause the problem you have. Mine is wired directly from the REC and I have OPCOMM'd everything in except the IPC as there doesn't seem to anything there to set to present?
Having said that, it all works fine even to the point that when a brake light failed, the sidelight took over
Too far away to help with OPCOMM.

Hello thanks for reply. I have bought a genuine trailer module and installed that and the wiring. The problem im having is activating the trailer module in the DIS as my opcom wont recognise. The lights work but the bulb faliure comes on on the main instrument cluster.
