Offensive snowball?

After the fuss about the bloke who flashed his headlights, then the one stationary in a queue for a bridge that took his seat bely off briefly - tonight, on the news, I see Derbushire police have had a bloke tagged for throwing a snowball at a CSO.
Now, I don't know if there's more to it, apparently he had a grudge against the (female) officer, and the magistrates were told it was more an iceball and thrown with intent to harm - indeed , she tried to claim for personal injury but it was thrown out. Still sounds trivial to me........

thats a hard one that as like the bloke who slapped that CSO's bum he went to jail get that!!.................but iceball= make snowball hold in hands till melting add more snow iceball hurt like hell there like a brick if done right
