Yea I've check. I only have a rear fog on mine. Its doing my head in flashing at me all the time. I took the battery off to try and re-set it and its knocked my radio off and I haven't got the code. So I'm now looking for someone that could get me a code. I'm sick as a chip!!!!!!

Have a look at the tail lights when they are switched on. There should be 2 bulbs lit up on each side. If they are ok get someone to press the brake pedal and double check that it is the same part of the rear clusters thats lit up on each side,(The fancy electrics on the rear lights will use another bulb in the cluster if a brake lamp blows) if all is ok it may be a bulb that has a higher resistance to the current flow that is triggering the failure warning.

The radio code will be on the CarPass (credit card size card with various codes for your car) if you have one, if not its around £20 from the stealers. Or if you know which dealer sold the car new contact them and they'll usually give the radio code over the phone for free. Or try asking the previous owners. I think its also possible get the code through ebay but i'm not too sure.
The bulb check will also show a warning when a bulb is about to fail, so you'll soon find out which one it is.

You need to open the boot and check the bulbs physically through the two side compartments. One of of the 2 pairs of tail lights must have blown as suggested by Rapala. You can't observe this easily by checking from outside. Believe me, I have had this before.

I had a load of trouble a while back when it was showing a brake light failure, but lights were on both sides... I didn't know about the "using another bulb" feature if a brake light goes.

I have currently got a similar issue, the warning light comes on and the display says, fog light right, showing a picture of the rear. Thing is all the fog lights work???? So i will change the bulb at the weekend, as i understand it can also be an indication that its about to fail. Just a nuisance that on the estate you have to remove the inner tailgate carpet to get at it.
