By the look of it it is filmed at RAF Bruntingthorpe where they hold many of the Cold War Jets (including Vulcan, Lightening etc) - for anyone who is interested they have an annual air show.

Oh..ok ...so you weren't interested....my bad

For the small difference I'd have the BM any day.
The only problem with the M5 is that it wouldn't normally have lasted as long as that race without needing some repairs and a few spare parts. Not the most reliable of BMWs.
